Abbas Emami-Naeini, Ph.D.

Dr. Emami-Naeini joined SC Solutions in 1996 and is a co-founder of the Systems & Control Division.  

Dr. Emami-Naeini received his B.S.E.E. from Georgia Institute of Technology, and his M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Dr. Emami’s research has encompassed computer-aided control system design, multivariable robust servomechanism theory, and robust fault detection methods. He is currently interested in robust control theory with applications to semiconductor manufacturing systems. Dr. Emami is the coauthor of the book (with G. F. Franklin and J. D. Powell), Feedback Control of Dynamic Systems, 8th edition, Pearson, 2019. Dr. Emami received the IFAC Control Engineering Textbook prize in 1991. He is a member of IEEE, SIAM, Sigma Xi, and Tau Beta Pi. He is the author/co-author of over 77 papers and three US patents.

Previously Dr. Emami-Naeini was with Integrated Systems Inc. and Systems and Control Technology, Inc. Dr. Emami-Naeini is also currently a Consulting Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.
