SC Solutions Engineer Nathan Rogers Inspects Instrumentation During Prototype Dynamic Testing
SC Solutions is proud to have supported Varda Space Industries of El Segundo, California in the engineering development, analysis, and testing of their Winnebago-1 Re-entry capsule. The Winnebago-1 is the “world’s first space factory”, and was successfully deployed from the Transporter-8 SpaceX rideshare mission following its launch from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in California on Monday June 12th.
After demonstrating its first of kind in-space pharmaceutical production capability, the Winnebago-1 is set to re-enter Earth’s atmosphere and land in Utah, where it will be recovered. In doing so, Varda will open a new chapter in the commercialization of space.
